چکیده
In this paper, we revisit the memristor concept within circuit theory. We start from definition of basic elements; then, introduce original formulation and summarize some controversies on its nature. also point out ambiguities resulting a nonrigorous usage flux linkage concept. After concluding that is not fourth element, prompted by claims in literature, look into application to electrophysiology, realizing an approach suitable explain observed inductive behavior giant squid axon had already been developed 1960s, with introduction “time-variant resistors.' discuss recent implementation which magnetic plays direct role, it cannot strictly qualify as memristor, because v-i curve exactly pinch at origin. Finally, present numerical simulations few memristors memristive systems, focusing φ-q plane. show that, contrary what happens for most concept, general single-valued or even closed.

متن کاملRevisiting Matrix Theory and Electric Circuit Analysis
Matrix Theory has long been applied to many branches of engineering. However, numerical difficulties have limited access to students, especially at the elementary level. This limitation has partially been removed with the development of canned software and modern scientific calculators which operate matrices. However, the approach with matrices ignores this and still follows traditional ways. T...
متن کاملA Voltage Mode Memristor Bridge Synaptic Circuit with Memristor Emulators
A memristor bridge neural circuit which is able to perform signed synaptic weighting was proposed in our previous study, where the synaptic operation was verified via software simulation of the mathematical model of the HP memristor. This study is an extension of the previous work advancing toward the circuit implementation where the architecture of the memristor bridge synapse is built with me...
متن کاملBifurcation and Chaos of the Memristor Circuit
In this paper, a magnetron memristor model based on hyperbolic sine function is presented and the correctness proved by studying the trajectory of its voltage and current phase, and then a memristor chaotic system with the memristor model is presented. The phase trajectories and the bifurcation diagrams and Lyapunov exponent spectrum of the magnetron memristor system are plotted by numerical si...
متن کاملRevisiting the matricellular concept
The concept of a matricellular protein was first proposed by Paul Bornstein in the mid-1990s to account for the non-lethal phenotypes of mice with inactivated genes encoding thrombospondin-1, tenascin-C, or SPARC. It was also recognized that these extracellular matrix proteins were primarily counter or de-adhesive. This review reappraises the matricellular concept after nearly two decades of co...
